Business Administration 2091 Fall 2011 Business and Professional Basics B Ad 2091.901 (Monday) SYLLABUS Course Description: This is a course about professionalism. It makes sense that students in a professional business school would take such a course, although it would be a mistake to believe that a single course is sufficient to help you master your future professional life. This course emphasizes some of the most important aspects of business professional life: business culture, communications, ethics, social responsibility, and business skills development. It will also prepare you for a professional future and identify and address your strengths and weaknesses for earning that first job. When you complete this course, you will have registered with Career Services, completed a usable resume, explored the “people skills” necessary for success in today’s workplace, and fashioned a professional development plan as part of your undergraduate experience. Instructors: Professor Ron Anderson is the teacher of record.
