Sept ember 5 th 2011 Dear Grandchild, As you know September 11 th , 2001 was a big impact to my generation. In this letter I will be telling you about the impact of that tragic day and my feelings for it. At 8:46 A.M. a plane going at 490 miles per hour was purposely crashed into the north tower and at 9:03 A.M. another one going at 590 miles per hour hit the east tower. 102 minutes after being hit the towers collapsed. Many terrorists caused it, Osama Bin Laden known as the mastermind. Various people passing by risked their lives and entered the building to save the innocent humans trapped. Most who went in never came out. More than 1,000 lives, old and young were lost. The smoke arose from the towers and lasted up to weeks. Later America started war with Afghanistan. This day changed America’s life forever. Terrorists were also aiming for Washington D.C. but crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania due to flight attendants trying to take control of the plane. In memory of the towers
