St Joseph’s College Brooklyn Campus Spring 2011 Course: General Physics (PHY. 151) Text: Physics ( th Edition) Author: Publisher: Instructor: Dr. Kone Objectives : This course is designed as a second part of a one-year algebra-based introductory course. This course will help understand the principles and the concepts necessary for a coherent understanding of the physical word. As well, the course will help students improve their logical reasoning ability through the articulation of problems dealing with the application of physical principles. Course requirement :prompt attendance at every class is required. Lab reports are due the week following the lab experiment. All lab reports should be completed; a penalty of 1 point is deductible for each and every day the lab report is overdue. Students are expected to take all scheduled examinations and a final examination. Homework problems are assigned in lecture and revised in class.
