Yip 1 Stacey Yip EDS 136/139 Sarah Simpson 4 April 2011 Tutoring Journal #1 I will be tutoring at Crawford Multimedia and Visual Arts School. After looking at their website, I learned that their school is very small and composes of only 400 students to allow for a more personal learning environment. Upon hearing that it is a multimedia and arts school, I was curious as to what that really meant and found out on the website that while they do have a core curriculum just like every other high school, they are also exposed to technology to express their creativity. This may include designing web pages, learning video production, and creating graphic arts. This really stood out to me, especially since I am interesting in doing video production. I feel like this high school has a lot to offer to the students, especially if they are interested in going into multimedia and visual arts in college or as a future career. What surprised me was that it says on the website that many classes offer college credit. This is surprising for me because I did not have those kinds of classes in high school.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
