Unformatted text preview: 10:45-11:15 – Read a book while students did their journal assignments. 11:15-12:15 – Talked to Edouard Laplanche about his life, future college and career plans, and introduced the peer tutor/tutee project to him to see if he would be willing to do it. I do not think I have seen any of the strategies offered by Nieto’s article in the site that I tutor at. I would advise the teachers and other educators at Crawford MVAS to stress native language maintenance, although I have not seen any cases in my own personal tutoring that would need this emphasis. Like I previously stated, the English classes that I tutor in do not seem to have students struggling with the language, so I have not had the opportunity to practice using any strategies that Nieto stated in his article.
