(2) Using Excel, graph the data using what you feel is the best representation (i.e. the best type of graph to represent your data). What type of graph did you choose? Why? We chose to use a scatter plot graph because the data includes numerous values that are more quantitative, and not categorical. We are attempting to establish a trend or relationship between the pH of water and the tadpole population. B. (2) In a sentence or two, interpret the graph. According to the graph, it looks like the number of tadpoles is affected by the pH of water. The population of tadpoles is lower when the water is more acidic or more basic, and reaches its peak when the water is at a neutral level, or just slightly acidic (pH of 6.5) C. (1) What is the dependent variable? The dependent variable is the tadpole population.
