I was born in Los Angeles, CA to Vietnamese immigrants who later moved to the small town of Gainesville, GA. In high school, I was a varsity football cheerleader and a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Interact Club. Later, I graduated high school with an impressive 4.6 G.P.A, the title of salutatorian, and a prestigious International Baccalaureate program diploma. In my spare time, I can be found reading for pleasure. As difficult as it is to believe, my favorites are the classic novels, which I find are able to transcend time and convey useful knowledge about the human condition. To name a few, I enjoy the works of Jane Austen, Kate Chopin, Victor Hugo, and Ayn Rand. Arguably, my favorite novel is Ayn Rand's Fountainhead,

In terms of modern novels, I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series and anything written by Nicholas Sparks. Currently a first year at the University of Georgia, I plan to apply to Grady before my second year and pursue a major in journalism with a focus on magazines. While I am here, I would like to become more involved in literary or journalistic organizations such as Stillpoint Literary Magazine or the Red and Black newspaper. In the future, I hope to work for a magazine publication after earning my undergraduate degree. Eventually, I would like to go into writing and be an author whose novels will be read and remembered for years to come....
