Ever since she was a child, Stephanie Pham has wished to live an extraordinary life. Born to Vietnamese immigrants who came to the United States for more opportunities, she has never failed to do her best in every one of her endeavors. Education, in particular, has always been an essential part of Stephanie's life and she has received straight “A's” throughout her schooling, earning her a 4.6 G.P.A, the title of salutatorian of her class and even an International Baccalaureate diploma. She was a Varsity cheerleader and a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Interact Club. While she performs well in all academic subjects, Stephanie especially excels in English. She loves all types of literature: novels, short stories, poetry, etc., because it is capable of describing the most complex of emotions and painting the most vivid of pictures in the imagination. To her, the poem is not only about finding a love that surpasses the boundaries of the universe, but also having the desire to live a life that is extraordinary and more than can possibly be imagined. Additionally, Stephanie's favorite novel is Ayn Rand's Fountainhead, which concentrates on the idea of promoting individualism in the face of conformity in society. These two works of literature motivate her to be the best person she can be and to live everyday to the fullest extent. While at UGA, Stephanie plans to pursue a journalism major and hopefully work for a magazine after earning her degree. Eventually, she would like to go into writing, and hopes that one day, she can be an author whose novels people will read and remember for years....
