Norms of mental health, Social Norm, Political Norm, Ethical norms: Norms not lining up? The epistemic norm says all of these norms go together 6. Aristotle and Virtue Ethics: A philosopher who believed all the norms lined up 7. Personalization: Seeing the world only through your perspective. Seeing things personally when they are not. 8. Polarized thinking: Simplify the world in a dualistic way of looking at things. Black and White view. 9. Overgeneralization: salient feature about one’s person makes us judge them 10. Catastrophizing: think about the worst possible outcome 11. Selective abstraction: only focus on one minute thing not the big overall picture.
