Syllabus for PH 102M (Physics Lab 1) – Fall 2009 Co-requisite of PHY 302K Required Text: 2009 Edition of the PHY102m Lab Manual Justin Feng, TA [email protected] General Course Website: http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~phy102m/index.html Course Files: https://webspace.utexas.edu/jcf967/102M-F10/ Office Hours: RLM 9.222: Mon 2pm-3pm, Tue 3pm-4pm, and Thu 2pm-3:30pm Things you should have : Access to MS Excel and Word (Purchase at Campus Computer Store for ~$20), Graph Paper, Calculator, Protractor, Ruler, and Pencils… Guidelines and Policies : This class is curved, so a strict 90, 80, 70, 60 grade distribution may NOT happen. Grading : Lab Reports: 70% Prelabs or Quizzes*: 15% Final Exam 15% Your work is to be turned in at the beginning of class when I collect it. Prelabs are due at the beginning of the lab session , no exceptions (when assigned). If it is not in by that time it will be considered late. Lab reports will be due the week after you finish the lab. I will drop one of the prelabs. Talk to me beforehand if you will have problems turning in a lab report on time. No labs will be accepted after the final exam. General Policy:
