Go to https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/ and click “Get Started.” Make sure you are enrolled in this course. Scheduling: Class meets MWF in Painter 2.48 from 1-2 PM. Two discussion sections will be scheduled during evening hours. Times will be announced on the course website. Textbook: College Physics, by Serway and Vuille, Vol. 1, eighth edition. Clickers: This class will use the iClickers. Please obtain one by the class on Monday, Aug. 30. Course summary: This course is an algebra-based introduction to the mechanics of solids and fluids, heat, and waves. You will gain an understanding and appreciation of how the scientific method is used to reveal the fundamental principles by which the universe operates, and will observe how knowledge of these
