Module 07 Workflow Shooting: Pay attention to image quality in the settings of your camera so that you can shoot in the highest resolution possible. Use a tripod if you can, or if not, steady your image by resting your arm against something. Out of focus photos (unless intentional and for good reason) are not acceptable. Cropping: When you import the images into Photoshop, they will most likely be at 72 ppi (found under image size). The documents provided have a higher resolution—the .psd files are set to 150 ppi. Setting the Aspect Ratio for the Crop Tool: When you choose the Crop tool, the Options bar located below the Menu bar changes automatically to match the functionality of the tool. You can set a fixed aspect ratio for the crop—in this screenshot, 2.5 in width and 2.5 in height has been set. (If you don’t write “in” for inches, Photoshop may interpret it as pixels or px, so make sure that you write inches). Set the resolution to 150 ppi. Click and draw on your photograph.
