You may need to do additional research on the instruments used. Duke Ellington with Mahalia Jackson (original performance) Miya Masaoka Jon Jang and the Pan Asian Arkestra voices and instrument s used Vocal, Piano Koto piano, flutes, drum set, bass, saxophones, clarinets, trumpets, trombone , erhu, guzheng, suona, sheng playing and/or singing style (vocal timbre, role of instrument s, similarity to other genres of music, etc.) Jazz genre with 32 bar and AABA from. Mahalia Jackson plays the vocal and Duke Ellington plays the piano which serves as the baseline. The musician plays only the Koto throughout the whole piece. She combined the Wetern and the Asian music which is charactrised with its simple style and obscure rhyme. Open with percussions in a free jazz style. It later changed into fast and chaotic bepop/free jazz style performed by a combination of western and Asian instrument. After the climax, the tempo slows down with trombone solo. alterations to the original no text here The music is adapted into Japanese style. There is no vocals. The music is very different from the original in that it uses a wider range of instrnment and adopted a more flexible and strong music style.
