Medical technologies continue to become more advanced, the demand for health care workers increases, and the cost for health care services and insurance rise rapidly. With an increase focus toward high quality care, and educational services for living a healthy life would be a start toward a better, more successful health care system. One of the most effective ways to meet the needs of all American citizens is through a single-payer health care system. According to the Physicians for a National Health Program , a single-payer national health insurance is a system in which a single public or quasi-public agency organizes health financing, but delivery of care remains largely private (PNHP, 2010). With single-payer health insurance, everyone in The United States of America would receive health care insurance, despite income, employment, or disabilities. With this type of coverage for all citizens, there would be no gaps in coverage and all types of health conditions would be covered. Some treatments, procedures and medications would not be available under the insurance policy. These treatments, procedures and medications would include cosmetic surgery, elective procedures, or types of lifestyle drugs. This type of insurance would help maintain the entire population as far as health services. In countries such as the UK, Canada, France, and Australia, everyone is covered with health insurance, and these people are entitled to this service (PNHP,
