AME 352 DYNAMICS OF MACHINES August 2011 Catalog Data: AME 352-Dynamics of Machines (3) Analysis of motions and forces in machines, design exercises. 1.5ES, 1.5ED. P, AME 250. Textbook: Refer to the "Textbook" link on the website. Class notes will be an integral component of instruction; material presented in the class and possibly posted on the Web will supplement and will sometimes be different from the treatment in the text. Prerequisites by Topic: 1. Kinematics of particles in stationary and moving frames. 2. Newton’s laws of motion for particles and planar rigid bodies. 3. Solution of a set of linear algebraic equations; basic understanding of matrix algebra and manipulation.
