Unformatted text preview: HIST Elizabeth: the struggle for the throne CH1-BIRTH- daughter of Henry VIII & Anne Boleyn- born on 9/7/1533 in Greenwich, where her father was also born- the book that talks about how royal events (from marriages & deaths to dressing and dining) were supposed to go was known as The Royal Book - Elizabeth was known as: Elizabeth, Princess of England and of France – everyone said she was the wrong gender - Henry VIII had risked his kingdom by divorcing his first wife, and imperiled his immortal soul by breaking with Rome not for a daughter, but for a son CH2-FAMILY- Elizabeth was to be the virgin queen and is ironic bc her dad was married 6 times- “There are two reasons for a man to marry so often.
