Falola 1 Abraham Falola Colleen Biro English 100 - 007 7 March, 2011 Apple and Blackberry: Goliaths of the Cell Phone Industry Although the similarities and differences between the iPhone4 and Blackberry-bold cannot be overemphasized, it is mainly the creativity and sense of innovation of this contending pair that stands out as the driving force for the design and production of even more admirable phones. The iPhone4 and Blackberry-bold are both sleek smart phones, they run second generation (2G) wireless telephone technologies, have high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), share similar Bluetooth connectivity, and work on original operating systems. On the one hand, the iPhone is very sleek with a thickness of about nine millimetres, and has front and back aluminosilicate glass covers which give it a glossy look and resistance to fingerprints. It runs the 2G Network on 850 to 1900 megahertz bands, uses the third generation (3G) high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), and optimizes the use of an advanced audio distribution
