Kevin Su Lab: Tues 8-10 11/2/10 Experiment 8 Centripetal Force Introduction In this experiment, we found the related between centripetal force, mass, speed, and angular speed. Procedure 1.) Put 100 g of weight on the trolley and then determine the mass that is on the trolley 2.) Add 25 g of weight to the hanger, and then determine the mass on the hanger 3.) Attach a piece of thread to the trolley by looping a slip knot over the trolley 4.) Measure the diameter of the wheel that the smart pulley 5.) Then Start up the program Logger Pro 6.) Then rotate the apparatus by hand, and then rotate it fast enough so that the trolley remains against the post 7.) Click “ collect” button on the Logger Pro program 8.) Allow the apparatus to rotate until the trolley moves to the center, then stop the
