Math 3323 – Fall 2009 Section 21, 11:00 – 11:50 MWF Derrick Hall 333 Dr. G. B. Passty , MCS 582, Ph. (512) 245-3446. My e-mail address is [email protected] . Office hours: MWF 9:00-9:50, TTh 10:00-10:50 , or by appointment. Students are encouraged to come by during my office hours or to send me questions by e-mail. As the semester progresses, we will develop a class web site in the TRACS system. Go to http://www.txstate.edu and click on TRACS . Note : If you totally withdraw, you must check with Dr. Passty personally prior to doing so to see if you will receive a grade of "F" or "W" in Math 3323. Check with the Registrar's Office afterwards to be sure that your drop was recorded properly. (The automatic “W” deadline is Oct. 26 th ; the deadline for withdrawal is Nov 23 rd .) Text: Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems , 9 th edition, by Boyce & DiPrima. The material for the course will be drawn from Chapters 1 through 6. Your grade in the course will be determined as follows: 300 points 3 Exams, 100 points each. These will be on Friday September 18 th , Friday October 16 th , and Friday November 13 th . There will be no make-ups.
