Management in Entertainment All across the nation and even the world, entertainment is almost become a necessity in the lives of most people. However, entertainment didn’t just happen over nitght. It took the work and even the management millions of people. Yes, even the entertainment needs managers to get things going in the right direction. In fact there are several different managers for every entertainment company today, and one such manager who is really setting things off is CEO Howard Stringer. Howard Stringer is the CEO of Sony Entertainment Inc. This man has a vision that will boost Sony across the economic food chain. His plan is to set up a multi- entertainment online database will allow people to access all of their software on there hardware devices. A simple enough project if it wasn’t for the disagreements that go on with in the company. According to the New York Times, this idea has been around since the 90s, but the companies engineers and programmers have been at each other necks

However, Howard Stinger has decided to take that third part of the management functions and lead his company back together, and he did just that. Ten years ago, different parts of Sony didnt speak to each other, Mr. Stringer said. Now, there are no silos. With the company back together, Mr. Stinger has proven to be a very good CEO. If his vision succeeds, we will be able to see a classic example of good management in the entertainment industry.
