Discussion Questions 2 1. Discuss positive, negative, and counter transference. Transference mainly deals with the process of emotions associated with one person, such as a parent, unconsciously shifting to a boss or leader based on a relationship view that was important in a person's childhood. Positive transference comes from an employee having a strong transference on their boss that enables them to be very productive. Negative transference comes from that transference that make almost hate their boss and is no longer productive. With counter transference, a boss or leader may look to an employee as a child of theirs. In most cases the child they perceive is that of one they have lost, usually in a tragedy. 2. Discuss mother, father, and sibling transference. Mother transference is considered the most emotional transference. It deals with the basis of seeing a women leader as a mother, one who should love and show you the way and whom you should never cause to suffer. The father transference is a more forceful
