Kareem El Freshmen Composition 20 September 2011 Outlook #4 The Future of The Freshmen Class Anthony P. Carnevale, Georgetown University’s director of the center on Education and the workforce, spells out the future for college graduates trying to enter into the job market with a 9% unemployment rate. In the online article, www.washingtonpost.com {September, 18 2011B- 3), “Want A Job? Stay in College as Long as you can.” Carnevale asks a question, “So what happens to the class of 2015,” referring to the freshmen class of college students graduating in four years. It is then pointed out by Carnevale that the job market will not be recovering until 2017 at the earliest, meaning those graduating two years earlier should try and wait it out and stay in school. Carnevale points out that coming into the job market during the economic turmoil could result in either long-term unemployment or lifetime underemployment. Carnevale then
