Many cultural groups share similar customs and traditions but often with many twists that their manifestations may be different from region to region. Some of these customs/traditions are however different even when they appear to serve same or similar purposes. Understanding the contexts of these customs and traditions is important to appreciating the diversity that is the heritage of the world. The presentation is meant to introduce us to different dimensions of cultures around the world, including our immediate environment. The following questions should serve as guides to developing an impartial cultural geographic critique of these customs and traditions and allow us to acquire relevant information on their origin, evolution and landscapes....
