Matthew Yeung Impromptu Impromptu was an interesting movie that had me confused for a while. Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin is known to the world as a guy named George Sand. Not only did she have a man’s name but she also acted like a man by wearing pants instead of nice dresses and smoking cigars as opposed to sipping wine. She was not very lady like but she did play a strikingly good part as pretending to be a man. This movie had a few big name actors such as Hugh Grant who played Frederick Chopin and fair amount of small name actors such as Ralph brow who plays Eugene Delacroix and Julian Sands who plays Franz Liszt. These actors are able to make this movie a comedy while having a romantic side. The plot of this movie is pretty easy to follow. It is a love story between George Sand and Frederik Chopin. Going back to the beginning, George is really a woman who refuses to act like one. She writes novels that’s are very conservative and is very smart. Eventually the movie progresses on and George
