5/22/2011 Sheena Wadhwa Vista del Lago High School 1970 Broadstone Parkway, Folsom, CA 95630 Mr. Aaron Hobbs, President Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment 1156 15 th  Street, NW, Suite 400 Washington, DC 20005 Dear Mr. Hobbs, It has come to my attention that you industry believes that pesticides are well regulated and a lack of  pesticides would actually be harmful to the environment. I believe your claim is false, pesticides are harmful  pollutants that should not be used. Your industry should consider “organic lawn care” instead of supporting  products that harm our planet on a daily basis. Statistics show that 2.2 billion pounds of pesticides are used in America every year. These get into our  water supply making our drinking water poisonous. If digested, these pesticides can cause cancer, birth defects,  and gene mutation. They can also disrupt immune and endocrine systems. After everything, the pests develop a
