3 key ideas from the chapter on this character in Courageous Faith.1.The first key idea was that the four Hebrew boys were reluctant in pretending to follow the Babylonian ways so they would not get killed. They pretended to follow along with their faith, and beliefs for as long as they could. “In fact, they were royal hostages. They were being kept in Babylon as insurance against any further rebellion back home” (Ed Hindson 2017 p. 181). 2.The second idea was about Daniel, he showed the Kings in Babylonian that there was only one God that he believed in and would worship. He disobeyed the King several times to show that his faith in God was solid and God would have his back no matter what. He stood up for the other three boys who wanted to keep their faith but was afraid. Daniel came up with the ultimate test, so they could continue to practice their faith, and not follow the Babylonian way. The test lasted for 10 days as they only ate vegetables andwater.
