Narrative 1st Draft Like a candle placed on a table in a dark room aspiration is the wick awaiting the spark. It is the flame of the spirit that seeks to transcend all limitations allowing the spirit-host to reach their fullest potential and realize their destiny. Albero was an adventurous young man full vim and vigour with a terribly bad case of wanderlust brought on by the countless amount of stories his father would tell him of his travels around the world. Albero had never been out of the country, but would often escape the confines of the barren city which he lived by delving into the pages of National Geographic publications. Throughout his entire life he had seen the world through the eyes of others, and he was becoming quite despondent of never experiencing the wonders of the outside world for himself. It got so bad that at one point he canceled his subscriptions to his nature magazines, and was beginning to except the unfortunate faith of being landlocked forever. The first time I saw him he was sitting in the first row of my Cultural Anthropology class browsing through a mushroom identification field guide. He was wearing earthy colors dressed
