Eliot Salehani Professor Lynch English 1 6 September 2011 A Tale Of Two Friends As we sat at the edge of our seats waiting for the bell to ring, we thought that our seventh period class would never end. It was Friday and the start of the weekend loomed over us as the final seconds of Mr. Zoom’s literature class slowly ticked away. At last! The bell rang and we were dismissed into the chaotic hallway flooded with the other students. Joe and I took one look at one another, as we gathered our belongings, and immediately recognized the expression of anticipation and excitement held by the other. This was to be an exceptionally wonderful weekend as Joe had procured tickets to the Monster Music Hall to see our all time favorite band, The Ragers, in honor of my 18 th birthday. We were scheduled to leave immediately after school, as the venue was a five- hour drive from our hometown. As the show had been sold out for weeks, Joe and I were feeling particularly fortunate. This was going to be a birthday I would never forget! And I
