Final Peer Review You will be reviewing one paper. Choose a partner that you have not worked with before. Since you have only one paper to review, you will have time to comment on the paper liberally. Leave time to review your comments with your partner. 1. Review the thesis. The essay question allows for a bit more freedom; however the paper MUST still address the question. Make sure the thesis does not stray too far from the assignment. The paper must address the views of Twenge, Chua and either Faludi or Siebert. If the thesis seems to general or is too removed from the essay question, make a suggestion to reorient it. Some essays may need to stick closer to the question. Is the thesis arguable? 2. Review each citation. I am still getting essays that are using fact citations. In the final paper no one should be using these in their papers. Make sure each citation being used is not a fact. Also, I see many drop quotes. These also should not appear in any final papers. Example: President Bush called for a “kinder,
