Erinn Broadus September 29, 2010 Title: Proper interview etiquette General Goal: To inform Specific Goal: To inform the audience about proper interview etiquette Central Idea: The interview is a critical aspect of potential employment and proper etiquette as well as mannerisms is pivotal for success during such ex- periences. The interviewing process is nerve racking to say the least. In essence, you have about 30 minutes to sell yourself and explain why you’re best fit for the job at hand. It’s important to have a proper resume, as well as come pre- pared for the questions and conversation that will ensue during the interview. I. Apparel a. Apparel should be modest, high neckline and low skirt line. b. Slacks should have front seam and socks should al- ways match your pants. c. Don’t worry about being trendy or fashionable. d. Keep earrings limited to one hole on the ear and as studs. e.
