ABAQUS Tutorial – Plate Bending Consider a circular aluminum plate (E=10e6 psi, ν =0.3) of radius 10” and thickness 0.2”. The plate is simply supported around its outer perimeter and is subjected to a transverse pressure of 10 psi. Using plate (shell) elements, determine the deflection at the center of the plate. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
