10/1/11 Poseidon’s Duties He was in charge of watching over the sea and the sea goers. Poseidon was told to make the most beautiful animal. So, he made the first horse for a Greek goddess. Poseidon was also the horse-god, and the ancient Greeks would sacrifice horses to him and sink them into the sea. There have been many stories about how Poseidon was the god of all of these things
