SUMMARY REACTION ESSAY Article: Virginia Senate panel kills proposal targeting gun restriction By: Fredrick Kunkle SUMMARY: A Virginia Senate panel designed to eliminate House gun rights proposalks went about its work efficiently Thursday, killing an attempted repeal of the state’s 17-year-old ban on buying more than one handgun a month and several other bills. Because of this, the NRA was trying to repeal the state’s 17-year-old ban on buying more than one handgun a month, along with several other bills. The NRA says that they have not given up hope on the bill this year but would work to elect a Senate that would vote for the NRA the next time they attempt to pass the bill.
