Guided Analysis: Suffering Worksheet Name: Course: CWV-101 Date: 2020 Instructor: Shelly Hogan Address the following questions, responding to each one directly below the question. Your total word count (including all questions and answers combined) should be between 900-1150 words. Include a reference page. Describe a time when you experienced a significant period of suffering. How did you deal with that experience? How did you find comfort in the midst of suffering? A time where I experienced suffering was when my mother thought she was having a stroke at the softball park. Many people were noticing that my mothers face was droopy then when my mom would drink anything it would always drip out of her mouth. She then started losing the sense of touch in her arms so we rushed her to the ER. I noticed that she was not even able to pick up a pen and write her own name. The doctors then called in the stroke team and when I heard I broke down in tear in the middle of the ER. My father then came up to me and started hugging me saying everything was going to be alright and held me tight in his embrace. After my was tested she wasn’t having a stroke but she got Bell’s palsy so one side of her face was now paralyzed. With what I experienced that day I never want to experience it ever again and I don’t ever take my mom granted for because I know health wise she is not good. It took me awhile to try to surpass that horrifying incident and I don’t ever want to lose my mother she is all I have.
