Medoro 1 Andrew Medoro Ms. Hall English 112DD 2 February 2011 The Unbreakable Bonds of Family As I Lay Dying has been an interesting experience over the past few weeks, it has taken me on a journey through literature, which has not only taken me through a new time period in literature but entirely a new style. Faulkner’s technique of altering narrator’s and perspective each chapter has truly given an entirely new outlook on reading and has given me an opportunity to experience novels and ultimately give me a chance to experience literature in a more positive and eye-opening way. As I begin to enter the final chapters my reaction has been largely positive, yet somewhat confusing at times. It has been challenging to keep the characters straight particularly near the opening of the novel with frequent narrator changes it was initially difficult to identify the different characters and then begin to instill relationships with them. I asked myself throughout my reading does this narrator changing help to shape the story, or does it
