CHAPTER 1 Rationale - Introductory part of the study where the researcher lays down the problematic situation (international, national, locals) the importance of the study, overview of related studies, research gap and urgency of the study. Note: Researcher should back up this section with authors. Research Objectives - Goal of the study including the research questions that the researcher seeks to answer to attain the purpose of the study. Theoretical Framework - The researcher should present and discuss the theory(ies) from which the study is anchored upon. Be sure to provide a justification as to how the theory fits the study. Conceptual Framework - This is a visual representation of the variables of the study along with a short discussion. Significance of the Study - This section discusses who will benefit from the study and how it could benefit them. Definition of terms - This section contains the operational definition of the key terms of the study. (Most of the time, the key words are found in the title of the study.)
