Experience of bullying and cyberbullying are also associated with the development of low self- esteem, depression, anxiety, family problems, academic difficulties, school violence, and suicidal thoughts/attempts. How students are treated in school affects their life in so many ways. 1 in 5 students have a diagnosable emotional, behavioral or mental health disorder and 1 in 10 young people have a mental health challenge that is severe enough to impair how they function at home, school or in the community. Almost every teenager has some form of social media. Social media is a huge outlet among students, but it can have a huge impact on your mental health. Using social media is a risk for all ages, but with teens being more susceptible to peer pressure social media can be extremely dangerous. From self- esteem issues to cyber bullying, students across the world are being influenced negatively and nobody seems to be doing anything about it.
