ISS 2-16-2011 12:58 Replacement Model for Modern Humans:       Modern Humans come from Africa,  and evolve without interbreeding with other species.  Groups in Europe and Asia  are eventually replaced by Modern Humans There is a pattern of shared genomes among the species Regional Continuity Model:       All species originate out of Africa, and all species  interbreed to create Modern Human Center of Origin Model:        The y chromosome sequence in all human populations has an African origin.   There is no Neanderthal footprint in the genomic pools of modern Homo  Sapiens suggesting replacement, not interbreeding. Chapter 7 The y chromosome is slowly deteriorating and in 5000 generations, will be  eliminated from the genome leaving only females. Females have XX, and Males, XY Sons and Daughters get X from mom Only half the male sperm have Y’s making the XY ratio 3:1
