Lindley M. Quiambao BSPT 2A I would to start my reaction paper about this musical by giving some historical facts considering it. Batuin , which is a Kapampangan translation of star, is a Kapampangan version of the musical play, “ Jesus Christ, Superstar ”. Entitled "BATUIN Hesu Kristo," this version will open up a lot of opportunities for the development of the Kapampangan theater arts, benefiting both the local talents and the audience as well. The play is an initiative of the Artists League of Pampanga . Batuin have Jay-Ar Hipolito as the artistic director and Prof. Edwin Lumanog as its musical director. Kelvin Vistan , the organization ’s resident writer was the one who translated the play into Kapampangan. The Angeles University Foundation students were able to watch the play on September 7, 2011 at the Pampanga Convention Center. We traveled from Angeles to San Fernando riding a bus. Although many of us were pissed off because of waiting for the bus to come, everyone actually enjoyed the ride to the convention center. When we
