Age and Gender
Based from the National Statistics Office (NSO) as of June 2011, the total population in
the year 2007 was 88, 546, 087. And with this, the total number of male was 44, 757, 788 and
43, 788, 299 females with a 1.02 Sex ratio. Furthermore, in this data, the population by age
group were also specified. There were about 31, 407, 604 (0-14 years), 53, 468, 834 (15-64
years) and 3, 669, 649 (65 years and over).
In each case, gender standards, viewpoints, and behavior absolutely have an effect on
health. Women on the other hand has a greater risk for unavoidable health risks in part of their
reproductive well-being. In lieu with this, health needs are also increased which is again mostly
because of their reproductive aspect.
Registered marriages totaled 486,514 in 2008, a decrease by 0.7 percent

Among regions, NCR top the list with 15.8 percent of the total marriages in the country, while the
least was recorded in ARMM with 0.5 percent.
