Unformatted text preview: Damiah Wigfall 8.15.11 EN130 Journal Pediatrician The course of study I have chosen to do is a pediatrician. The reason I have chosen this job is because I have always said I wanted to be a pediatrician ever since I was a little kid. I was always the type of person that loved children. Even the job that I have now is working with children. There are many requirements that you need in order to be a pediatrician. It is not an easy type of job that doesn’t take much work and effort. Education is the main part of this career. First of all you must graduate high school, obviously. But also, in high school the classes you should take are biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, and calculus if possible. Then you would need four courses of undergraduate courses at a college or a university. After completing college you will need to attend at least four years of medical school, which you will get an MD or DO degree. After you have done that you are considered a “general” doctor.
