Minimizing Classroom Disruptions The first interruptive factor that the teacher allowed to happen was having the class repeat the answer louder. As if the learning process was also a shouting contest; it leaves open the opportunity for students to misbehave. The class already answered the question and by having the class and then each group repeat the answer wasted time for learning. The opportunity for the class to flow easily to the next math question was interrupted and more information could have been covered if the time was used wisely. There was not any form of routine used in this example of classroom management and when there is not a routine children do not perform easily. The second interruptive factor happened when the teacher stopped the entire lesson so that the students could hand in their field trip permission slips. This should have been done at the beginning of the day after the children first settled into their seats. If the teacher had forgotten to ask for the permission slips when she remembered she should have either made a mental note or
