Math 20 Final guideline Winter 2010 Overview The final will be held: Monday March 15, 2010 7-10 pm. The final is comprehensive and covers everything in the course that we discussed (see exceptions below), with an emphasis on the material since the second midterm. The exceptions of material that will not be on the final include: Newton’s method and the numerical integration techniques. Expect 8-9 problems, including a true/false question. You should know the statements of any important theorems exactly. No calculators or notes are allowed for the exam. These formulas will appear on the exam exactly as shown: sin π 4 = 1 2 = cos π 4 sin(2 x ) = 2 sin( x ) cos( x ) cos(2 x ) = cos 2 ( x ) - sin 2 ( x ) = 2 cos 2 ( x ) - 1 = 1 - 2 sin 2 ( x ) Recommended preparation: Do the final set of homework problems (HW9) early in the last week of class. Review your midterms and homework (solutions are posted). Try the sample exam on the reverse side.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
