Lorraine Hansberry and Toni Morrison two of the most influential black authors that ever lived. They not only made a contribution to literature of their work would also go on to influence many others. Both their works for not just based on history but also helped someone put themselves in the shoes of the people that lived during that time because they themselves lived through it and they knew firsthand how was like. These two great authors both dedicated their lives to literature and despite their similarities may have many differences both in there works and the way that they lived and grew up. These two offers both give us a great insight on how much black people had been discriminated against and how much society has moved on to the point. These two the authors were similar in many ways from the quality of their work, to their literary accomplishments, and even that they way they grew up. Both of them grew up in a society where discrimination will slowly dying but still there. They both during their young years lived in neighborhoods and went to school with white people and there faced discrimination but that did not stop them from continuing on and passing school with
