Microfinance MIS 2 people start a business of their own by offering loans to people who have nothing. By building locations everywhere, Mifos can reach out to all the people that could benefit from the services it has to offer. It allows people to make money even if they had nothing to start out with in the beginning. Open source technology is what Mifos uses because it is the most cost effective. Open source technology is a good resource because it is flexible and highly adaptable. Business owners are able to organize their business by using the Mifos software.

Users of this software can also post reports on the progress of their business. They can also post information about meetings as well. This software is meets all the basic requirements of a small business. The leaders of the Grammen foundation hope that one day their foundation can be self sufficient, being that the Mifos software is already completely self sufficient.
