APS111 and APS113 – Fall 2011 Email Style Requirements The following requirements pertain to all emails written for ESP. This includes the Email Assignment submitted in ESP I, emails sent to your client in ESP II, and all emails sent to the course staff. Identify yourself and your topic completely. Keep messages concise; use a format and style that promote readability. Ensure your messages are sent to the intended recipient. Always be polite and NEVER send a message written in anger. Do not attach foreign character sets that require downloading. Do not include “cute” pictures, backgrounds, or emoticons in your email. Identify yourself In the From field use your full name rather than just email address; no nicknames or symbols. Always use a professional email address rather than something that tries to be funny or provocative. In ESP you must only use your U of T email.
