History of Professional Property Management As populations increased residential rental housing, from rooms to apartments and single family homes, came into higher and higher demand. As populations increased business demands as well as office demands and demands for every type of real property rental became more and more intense.

October 4, 2011 Property Management as a Profession - Chapter 1 - Robert Rooks 8 Steel Framed Buildings The event of “Steel Framed Buildings” meant that buildings could be constructed from the old 13 to 20 story buildings to 200 story buildings. This in itself was not as desirable as you might think because getting to the top of a 20 story building meant a lot of stair walking. It did change the value of land because an owner could get more rent for more space and upward building reality did add additional space.
