Define the laws relating to alcohol consumption: What are the signs and symptoms for alcohol poisoning? What should you do if someone has alcohol poisoning? (Ch. 9) Identify types of tobacco use. (Ch. 9) There are six categories of psychoactive drugs listed in your book – identify each category and the drugs that fall in that class. (Ch. 9) Lecture Outline (Drugs) What is the most dangerous effect of alcohol – this usually occurs at a very low blood alcohol concentration? What are the societal effects of alcohol? What is the number 1 date rape drug (rohypnol, ketamine, GHB, or alcohol)? List ways to reduce the risk of acquaintance rape (tips for both women and men). Identify types of alcoholic beverages and the alcohol content of each (what is considered to be one drink?).
