Bio Lecture 2 (9/2/11) Enzymes are made of proteins, they catalyze biological reactions. Suffix: -ase Nucleases breakdown (eat) Nucleic Acids Restriction endonucleases (used for DNA finger printing) Made in bacteria and look for a specific sequence of bases where it will start eating. Used for DNA splicing.
