English 310/Levison    GUIDELINES FOR SYNTHESIS PARAGRAPH 1. Write a topic sentence which tells the topic of the paragraph  (it might  be an   argument, a counter-argument, or a topic). 2. The topic sentence should  not contain  a citation or a quotation. 3. You should  have several pieces of support  from different articles. The  support  may be a fact, a statistic, an example, an idea or a quotation.
